Heart felt condolences / Eric Harris (Brother in Christ ) I recently no more than a year ago while exposing musical encouragement to a friend of mine, stumbled upon "The Late, Great Rev. James Leslie Moore, Sr. I was blessed the moment he opened his mouth to minister in song and have been blessed since. I had to have more of his powerful ministry. I knew of Miss Mass but not of James. As I continued to listen and research to fill my spirit with his anointing, I learned that he was no longer with us. My GOD I was so hurt to learn that I'd never have an opportunity to meet him live. You see I'd been a big fan of Donnie Mcklurkin and Marvin Sapp but no disrepect to them as great ministers of music but Brother James could close a show and he may make you forget that the other 2 were in the building. I feel so cheated but thank GOD that I'm still able to listen to so many great songs he sang as well as witness through video just hope blessed and powerful his gift from GOD was and did he ever us it. Forever in my heart and thoughts.....Thank you soooo much and Rest in Heaven my brother. Thank you Thank you and many Thanks to you. You leave me in Awe
Dr./ V. Nelson (fellow child of GOD ) I'm in awe of everything I read. I didn't know the Rev. James Moore personally. I just discovered him last year on You Tube. I use to attend CHURCH as a small child periodically. I attended as a teen for a few years and went to college and work. I never forgot GOD, however, I wasn't doing his work and fulfilling my purpose. I did receive the precious HOLY SPIRIT when I was sixteen while attending Solomon's Temple in Detroit, Pastored by Bishop William L. Bonner, a very anointed MAN OF GOD. I came into Ministry a few years back and discovered hidden talents that were NEVER nurtured or brought out of me as a child. I always loved music. My late Dad was a Minister of Music and singer for his Dad's Church. I too come from a line of
Bishops. I just found out FAMILY history about ten years ago. I'm saying ALL of that to say that Rev. Moore was a phenomenally gifted saint that GOD loaned to Us. In my opinion, obviously he inspired many many Artist of today!! My Husband and I grew up together with the same story of not being with JESUS properly in our younger years. He too is a professional musician that played for the world for a while and wasted time when Jesus could have been lifted up. Rev.James Moore in our opinion was BLESSED incredibly with giftings beyond measure!! I KNOW he inspired many other Gospel Greats who borrowed snipets of his talents here and there. The Winans, Fred Hammond, The late Rev.Timothy Wright and MANY others. He was very anointed and you can tell didn't play with Jesus. He was serious about GOD!! He is now my most favorite GOSPEL male singer. That's a very high compliment because I love music and they're are many great awesome gifted singers and Musicians. When I get to HEAVEN, I definately want to play and sing in a concert with Rev.Moore, Andre Crouch, Walter Hawkins, Fred Williams, Canton singers, Mahalia, Whitney and Shirley Caesar who is still with US 2015, thank GOD!!!I LOVE HER!! REV MOORE THANK YOU. HE HAS INSPIRED ME SO MUCH!! As a Minister foremost, an awesome powerful Singer, Musician, Songwriter!!! He has inspired me to take the same gifts and try to create perfection for GOD ALMIGHTY! RIP REV MOORE, AN ANOINTED VESSEL OF GOD GONE TOO SOON..MAY GOD BLESS HIS FAMILY
we are all important to God weather great or small / Frances Sister in Christ, we all lost a brother who was in Christ let us all continue to press toward the mark in Christ Jesus. This great man of God will never be forgotten thank goodness for recordings we can continue to listen to his music. Let us not point the finger for any reason at each other; continue to prayfor one another for we have all at one time or another fallen short of Gods glory. So be encouraged my brother and sister and be strong in Jesus never forget Him is the main thing. Because It is well with Pastor James Moor

I JUST LOVED REVEREND MOORE / TRIMILLA WILSON (JUST LOVED HIM ) I HAVE ALWAYS LOVED AND LISTEN TO HIM SING AND ALL OF HIS MUSIC SINCE I WAS A CHILD AND HE HAS INSPIRED ME IN SO MANY WAYS THROUGH HIS MUSIC AND TESTIMONIES. HE WENT THROUGH ALOT BUT YET HE WORSHIPED THE LORD ALL HE KNEW HOW EVEN IN HIS TRIALS , HE REMINDS ME OF JOB IN THE BIBLE NO MATTER WHAT HE WOULD NEVER GIVE UP AND INSTEAD HE PRAISED GOD UNTIL HIS LAST BREATH. I ADORE HIM AND STILL TIL THIS DAY I LISTEN TO HIS SONGS TO GET ME THROUGH WHAT I AM GOING THROUGH, SO ALL I WANT TO SAY IS I LOVE YOU DEARLY REVEREND MOORE AND REST ON IN OUR FATHER'S ARMS AND WILL SURELY SEE YOU AGAIN ONE DAY.IT WAS A PLEASURE TO WRITE THIS ABOUT SUCH A GREAT MAN OF GOD.
"JUST REMEMBERING" / LaDonna Baker I'm greatful for the short time the nation was blessed
with such great music!!
No one had an annointing
quite like he had. We still have his music, but its not the
same now, knowing that he's not around to
bring us the fresh annointed sounds to make our hearts glad.
An Awesome Ministry Opportunity / Ryan Small (Musician) Late 80s/Early 90s I walk into Mt. Sinai MBC, Los Angeles (my home church) one Sunday morning when I was the drummer, and there was 'this guy' in the pulpit who looked like Rev. Moore. I had only seen Rev. Moore on TV and in videos, and I was immediately a huge fan! I turn to the minister of music and say, "Who does that guy think he is...James Moore?" (sarcastically). The M.O.M. turns and looks back at me and says, "YES, it is!" Rev. Moore got up and preached us under the pews that morning. Then afterwards, he said he wanted to sing, and then politely pushed the organist off the organ. Don't think for a minute I didn't play the drums with him. I enjoyed every second of it. A couple years later he came back and did the same thing; and yep, I played drums again. Doesn't sound like much to you, but to me...I was in musical ministry with The Rev. James Moore...we were on stage together. My musical resume, played with so and so and so and so, and twice with Rev. James Moore! (LOL and Proud of it!)
Blessed to have had Bro Moore! / Andrew Moko I was watching a youtube clip of the late Rev. last night and read a little about on his life. James was a true believer in Christ but even through life's tough storms (colon cancer infected, kidney failure, temporary blindness) he never lost his testimony. He held on to the cross, and he knew he was heaven BOUND laying on Christ's eternal promise. I thank Jesus for his love, He left his heavenly home, got nailed on a cross just so YOU and i might be made whole and perfect in the eyes of God. God bless family. Love u all.

I'll Never Forget You Rev. Moore / Tasha Hammoc (Sister in Christ )
Born, in Chicago, Illinois in the church, I grew up on traditional Gospel Music of which Rev. James Moore sung so beautifully! I am so glad that I found this website and thankful that it was created and kept alive by those who truly loved him. I can not tell you how I simply enjoyed just watching him sing and give God the glory in song. Anyone remember MALACO'S recording of him with the Mississippi Mass Choir Live? "We Worship Christ the Lord" and "Joy" will always be my 2 favorite all time Gospel Songs PERIOD! As a matter of fact, I'm listening to them right now! LOL
I'm a Registered Nurse and when I saw that recording he did, I could tell just looking at him, he was sick. However, I did know what his condition was. But thinking back, I am so inspired to know that through the pain and suffering, Rev. James Moore gave his all in praising God! That is one of the most anointed recordings I've ever seen! I love his music! I wish I could have known him personally. I guess, I'll have to wait to meet him in Glory! :-) Please keep this website up! Thanks! Tasha
