His legacy
THE LEGACY OF REV. JAMES MOORE

JAMES  MOORE BEGAN HIS PROFESSIONAL RECORDING CAREER AT THE AGE OF 18 YEARS OLD  IN CHICAGO  AS  A  SUCCESS STORY OF THE  Gospel  Music Workshop of America FOUNDED   BY THE LATE REV. JAMES CLEVELAND, HE   ALSO RECORDED FOR A RECORD LABEL IN CHICAGO.

STELLA GOSPEL MUSIC AWARD ,  DOVE  MUSIC  AWARD AND   GRAMMY MUSIC AWARD ARE ONLY SOME OF THE ORGANIZATIONS TO LIST THE EXCELLENCE OF REV. MOORE'S TALENT.   HIS ALBUMS TOP THE CHARTS  OF BILLBOARD MAGAZINE  HOLDING THE  #1  POSITION IN THE UNITED STATES, AND HE WAS INDUCTED INTO THE GOSPEL MUSIC HALL OF FAME.     APPEARING ON MANY RECORDINGS WITH  DIFFERENT SINGERS,  HIS INITIAL STARDOM WAS GAINED  WHILE SINGING WITH THE  MISSISSIPPI MASS CHOIR.    REV. MOORE ALSO APPEARED IN THE STAGEPLAY "WHY GOOD GIRLS LIKE BAD BOYS"

BESIDES HIS NATURALLY AWESOME VOICE, HE WAS ALSO A WONDERFUL MUSICIAN   AND  SONGWRITER.    INSPIRED AND ASSISTED IN HIS LIFE AND CAREER  DURING THE EARLY YEARS,  DR. MATTIE MOSS CLARK AND ELMA HENDRICKS WERE THE SHINING LIGHTS THAT  HELPED  HIM SEE HIS WAY.  THROUGH THE YEARS MANY OTHERS HELPED HIM ALONG THE WAY, BUT INITIALLY  THE LATE  BISHOP J.O. PATTERSON  AND REV. CHARLES NICKS  BELIEVED IN HIS TALENT AND ENCOURAGED HIM TO USE THE  GIFTS
GOD HAD BLESSED HIM WITH.

EVEN IN HIS CRITICAL HEAlTH STATE WITH A WEAKENING VOICE,  HIS FAITHFULLNESS AND DEDICATION  TO HIS MUSIC MINISTRY KEPT   HIM
TRYING TO DO THE BEST HE COULD  ALL  THE  WAY  UNTIL  THE  END.

GOD  DEVELOPED  HIM  INTO  SOMEONE  TRULY  EXTRAORDINARY.
